Shared accessible, seated, e‑scooter pilot
Overview
CoMoUK is leading a consortium—including Supersmith, TRL, MOBY, London Legacy Development Corporation, Wheels for Wellbeing, and Disability Rights UK—to launch a shared mobility pilot at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.
Funded by the Motability Foundation, the project deploys a fleet of accessible, innovative, seated, three‑wheeled, e‑scooters created by Supersmith, to evaluate the impacts on increases in independence and activity levels for the local disabled community.

Pilot design
The pilot has been designed to test out providing accessible, seated e‑scooters, available at the Olympic Park through a self-service app‑based system.
- In the initial phase from February to April 2027, the seated e‑scooters will be hired out by staff at the Olympic Park mobility information point.
- From May 2027, the pilot will place 25 seated e‑scooters around the Olympic Park in 5 different locations. (Further details to follow)
- Access will be self-service via an app or website powered by MOBY.
- The scheme will allow one-way hires so the seated e‑scooters can be picked up and dropped on at any of the 5 locations.
- There will also be 5 seated e-scooters on long-term hire.
The main pilot will launch in May 2026 and runs through April 2028, with key findings scheduled for publication in August 2028.
